Lead-in story Link to heading
Sam pieced the two halves of Captain Cody’s map together on Lina’s kitchen table. Half from his envelope. Half from a hollow book in the school library. The whole map showed a coastline, an X, and the words Tomorrow’s tide will tell. Lina stared at the map. “This is either the best or the worst week of our lives.” Sam said, “Both, maybe.”
