Lina’s class made an international food day. There were sushi rolls, samosas, falafel wraps, pierogi, tacos, jollof rice, and a tray of perfect Spätzle. Mr. Flint had two of everything. “Strictly for research,” he claimed.

Common pitfalls Link to heading
- I like to cook (also correct, slightly more formal in BrE) vs. I like cooking (more common).
- I’m enjoying cook → ✗ / I enjoy cooking → ✓.
- L1 trap: German gerne maps to verbs in different ways: gerne kochen → like cooking.
