Mr. Flint sets up a small stage in the classroom. “At the end of the year,” he says, “each of you stands here for one minute and says something true in English.” Frida the fox sits at the back. “Will you speak too?” Mia asks. Frida says, “Foxes don’t talk” — in perfect English.

Common pitfalls Link to heading
- Reading a full text aloud → flat performance. Bullets only.
- Mixing up I am eleven years. (omit years) — I am eleven OR I am eleven years old.
- Last-line nerves: practise the closing aloud at home.
