Common pitfalls Link to heading
- the brother of Mia → grammatically OK but unidiomatic. Prefer Mia’s brother.
- Apostrophe placement: its (possessive, no apostrophe) vs. it’s (= it is).
- L1 trap: German Geschwister has no single English word — use brother(s) and sister(s) or siblings.
