Today is the full-format Kommunikationsprüfung mock. Mr. Yilmaz has invited a colleague to play the examiner-pair so the format matches the actual Abitur. 15 minutes per candidate. Stimulus drawn at random. Bewertungsraster (grading grid) used. The mock is itself the lesson.

Stimulus draw. Each candidate draws a stimulus card. 5-minute prep period: outline a 5-min monologue with 3 movements + anticipated counter-questions.

Full Komm-Prüfung format (~15 minutes) Link to heading

  1. Monologue (5 min). Frame stimulus → 2-3 arguments → counter + concession → close.
  2. Dialogue (8 min). Examiner-pair asks 6-8 follow-ups. Candidate must rebut, concede, elaborate, connect to broader knowledge, and engage at least one cross-Unit theme.
  3. Close (2 min). Synthesis + final stance + one open question for the examiners.

Total ~15 minutes.

Bewertungsraster — Komm-Prüfung Link to heading

Kommunikative Textgestaltung (50 % BF, 40 % LF): structure, coherence, addressee-awareness, conversation-management.

Sprachliche Korrektheit + Variabilität (50 % BF, 60 % LF): vocabulary range, grammatical accuracy, idiomaticity, pronunciation, register-sensitivity.

Klausur (assessment) — Niveau E (Abitur-grade)
This Unit’s exam example follows the Abitur task pattern named in the Unit. Some Units focus on a single Abitur-task type (Comprehension / Analysis / Composition / Mediation / Kommunikationsprüfung); the full 90-BE Klausur is rehearsed in Klasse 12 Units 11-12 and continues in Klasse 13 Units 7-9.
Inhalt / Sprache split. Basisfach (basic course): 50/50. Leistungsfach (advanced course): 40/60.

Stimulus card (sample): A 2025 photograph of three school students in Mumbai working at an open-air computer cluster powered by a single solar panel. Caption: ‘After school, before tutorial.’ Speak for five minutes on what the image suggests about contemporary education and infrastructure. Then expect 8 minutes of examiner dialogue.

Differentiation. Basisfach (basic course): tighter argument, clearer moves. Leistungsfach (advanced course): sustained analysis, integrated quotation, complex thesis. Some Klasse 13 Units (e.g. Unit 9 Analysis) explicitly differentiate by candidate path.

  • Failing to connect across Units in the dialogue.
